The Rutgers-Newark Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild is proud to present the 7th Annual Arthur Kinoy Awards on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 7:00-9:00 PM in the 3rd-floor atrium. The Kinoy Awards were established to honor lawyers who have carried on Arthur Kinoy’s legacy through their work in people’s lawyering. This year, we are honoring Deborah Rand ’74, former Clinical Instructor of Rutgers Law School’s Urban Legal Clinic and retired Deputy General Counsel/Assistant Commissioner to NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, Awinna Martinez ’12, Program Director at UpNext in Midtown Community Court/Center for Court Innovation, and Jeanne LoCicero ’00, Legal Director at the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey, for their contributions to social justice and public interest advocacy. The awards ceremony will be followed by a reception. Tickets are $25 for faculty, alumni, and guests and $15 for law students.
